Hello, world! My name is Nicole.

👩🏻‍💻 I am a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University graduating December 2025.

🔬 My research interests include intertwining digital security with artifical intelligence.

💻 I am currently working on attacks which can cause disruption in object detection models’ inference process.

🎞️ In my free time, I love taking and developing film.

About me

I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Information Security with a focus in Artifical Intelligence at Carnegie Mellon University and will be graduating this December 2025! At the moment, I am Graduate Assistant Researcher at Los Alamos National Labratory designing adversarial acoustic attacks that can reduce object detection model accuracy, demonstrating vulnerabilities in the CV models we use!

As a student, I’ve participated in a number of projects ranging from front end development to the use of machine learning for more secure digital practices. My diverse background in projects has led me to find what I love– adversarial machine learning. Our world is rapidly changing with new implementations of AI; but new implementations means new vulnerabilites. I am actively looking for full-time positions that address the new challenges we are facing. To read more about my work and participation, please view here.

During college, I took several photography classes, where I developed (no pun intended) a real love for analog photography. Take a look at my portfolio here.

This website was designed using Jekyll. I have always leaned more into back-end developing, so stepping out of my comfort zone to create this website was a blast. That being said, if you see any happy accidents or have any suggestions, let me know!

Thank you so much for visiting my website.
